Golden Life is a small local paper for Florence and the Pee Dee, widening out to the rest of South Carolina. Most days we publish a few stories about what is happening here: city and county decisions, schools, roads, business, health and things to do. Some days there is nothing worth running, and on those days we run nothing.

We write for the people who live here. Every story names the places and people involved, says plainly why it matters, and names the official source it came from. An editor reads every story before it goes up.

The Press Room carries press releases from businesses and organizations, published as issued and marked as such.
